This Tuesday marks the two week mark until election day. We have a lot of work left to do and need your help so that we can finish strong. We need to contact 9,380 voters on Tuesday night - our team has figured out that we can hit that goal if 23 more volunteers sign up to help on Tuesday. You can sign up for as little as 30 minutes or as much as the full 2 hours.
Here's our plan:
1) Recruit 23 more volunteers by the end of the day Monday
2) Set up our phone program to call voters we haven't had a chance to talk to yet
3) Connect our volunteers with those voters to talk about Bill Keating's record in Congress
4) Mark down our supporters so we can remind them to vote on election day
It's a simple plan, but we can't accomplish it without your help.
How our phone from home system works
If you've made calls to voters before you know that not everyone picks up their phone. We're using a great tool that automatically calls voters and connects them with volunteers like you when they pick up the phone. That way our volunteers spend less time dialing numbers and more time speaking with voters. The best part of this tool is that you can make calls for the campaign from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a telephone - though a telephone AND a computer or iPad is the easiest way to do it.
Still unsure about our call from home system? Email Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can sign you up for a training on Sunday or Monday evening.
Can you help?
Every minute that a volunteer spends on the phone helps us inch closer to our goal. If you don't get home from work until 7:30, that's fine! If you're able to contribute the full two hours from 6-8pm on Monday, that's even better. You'll see four half-hour shifts for Monday night below. Sign up for as many shifts as you can.
